Abigail Ahern

I've just returned from a lovely lazy trip to Tuscany, which I preceded with four gloriously sunny days in London, where I visited some really amazing shops. But while I'm fully recharged thanks to my break, I must recharge my camera batteries before I can share any of my pics.

In the meantime, here's a peek into the lovely Atelier Abigail Ahern that I visited in Upper St, Islington.
Even on a sunny day, the interior of this store is moody and dimly-lit, and so although the shop isn't large, a shopper feels that each object is a treasure discovered, as it swims at them, shining in the gloaming. Well, that's how I felt, anyway.

But while interesting texture and muted tones typify the carefully-selected objects at Atelier Abigail Ahern, the store manages to throw things off delightfully boldly with sudden touches of something bright and a bit loopy, like this crazy papier mache Donkey Head.

See lots more by visiting Atelier Abigail Ahern, where you can also shop online.

What beautiful glass and ceramic vessels. I love their colours. (Not sure how gloom-influenced the colour was but it works for me!) Hope your trip was fantastic Heather, welcome back.

Good to have you back Heather - I just love the quirkiness of the donkey against the 'serious' green background.
